PFL Unveils Florida Championships Lineup on Aug. 21 Featuring 3 Tourney Finals

The final main tournament event for the Professional Fighters League is now a matter of public record.

On Thursday, the tourney-based league put out the full lineup for its last World Tourney fight card of 2025. On Aug. 21 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, the company will stage the 2025 PFL World Tournament 10 Finals. The third of three finals cards will conclude the middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight brackets, while also offering six other showcases including at least one in each of those three divisions for future talent scouting.

The main attraction of this fight card comes at 185 pounds, as Fabian Edwards (15-4) comes to blows with Dalton Rosta (11-1). While the former has yet to get out from under the thumb of divisional king Johnny Eblen, he is the only opponent Edwards has not beaten since 2022. Rosta, on the other hand, avenged his lone career defeat by taking a split call over Aaron Jeffery in the semifinals.

Representing the 205ers will be a match pitting Sullivan Cauley (8-1) against former PFL champ Antonio Carlos Jr. (18-6, 1 NC). Winner of the 2021 grand prix, “Shoeface” reached the pinnacle of the organization and claimed a $1 million prize with three wins from April to October of that year. His foe Cauley rolled over from the Bellator MMA acquisition to ring up two wins over Alex Polizzi and Phil Davis to get into this position.

Finally, the heavyweight tournament finals will be placed on the headliner of the preliminary card, listing the fight as a “Heavyweight Final Bout” rather than like the previously described “Middleweight Tournament Final Main Event.” Despite the designation, Alexander Romanov (19-3, 1 NC) and Oleg Popov (21-2) will throw down for $500,000 and a shiny tourney title at night’s end. “King Kong” Romanov advanced to the finals courtesy of a Valentin Moldavsky knee to his groin that prompted a no contest, with the tiebreaker that Romanov had won the first round on the scorecards. Popov’s path was a little more direct but much more labored, as the Russian needed 30 minutes to notch two victories to reach the finals.
