Somebody’s “0” has to go in this battle of unbeaten bantamweights. Meredith hasn’t fought in nearly a year, but he impressed in his last fight with a first-round submission win. The Wyoming native is a grappling specialist who takes pride in his fluid wrestling style. He’s hard to pin down, and he’s skilled at transitioning through different submissions. You can’t lose focus against Meredith because he will quickly seize an opportunity and turn the fight on its head if he sees an opening.

While Meredith is known for his submission game, Dayron’s strengths lie in his standup. The Goat Shed Academy prospect has heavy punches and a feared right hand but also possesses some solid wrestling skills. In his last fight against skilled wrestler Danny Sabatello, Dayron pulled off crafty trips and even stifled the American Top Team rep’s takedown attempts at times. However, he couldn’t maintain the pace throughout the entire fight.

Neither fighter is a big-time finisher, so expect this fight to go the distance. While Dayron is the more explosive puncher, Meredith’s slipperiness on the mat could make him a problem late. Timely takedowns and effective ground control could be the key difference on the scorecards here.
