PFL Heavyweight Final
Alexander Romanov (19-3, 1-0 PFL) vs. Oleg Popov (21-2, 5-1 PFL): Popov is a knockout artist with a less-than-stellar gas tank, hungry to redeem himself after being submitted in the first round of last year’s final. At times, he has been brilliant, but his reaction time has noticeably slowed when he’s tired. Romanov is coming off a fight where he was carted out of the cage after receiving a devastating low blow. He’s hoping to put that behind him and utilize his superior ground game on his way to a submission win.Heavyweights
Sergey Bilostenniy (13-4, 2-1 PFL) vs. Karl Williams (10-3, 0-1 PFL): Bilostenniy has demonstrated knockout power and unveiled a new aspect of his game recently, picking up his first submission via heel hook. Williams’ experience from the UFC makes him a unique threat. He doesn’t possess a singular strength, but his sprawl-and-brawl tactics make him a formidable opponent.Advertisement
Light Heavyweights
Guilherme Viana (9-3, 0-0 PFL) vs. Rasul Magomedov (7-0, 0-0 PFL): Magomedov puts his unbeaten record on the line against a man who has only gone the distance twice in his career. Viana hasn’t fought since November, but it only took him 39 seconds to pull off the technical knockout. Magomedov also wastes little time in the cage. Both fighters like to open up and throw caution to the wind. Should make for a fun barnburner.Fighters only get one shot! Welterweights
J.P. Saint Louis (11-5, 0-0 PFL) vs. Tyler Ray (11-5, 0-0 PFL): The opening bout pits two PFL debutants looking to explode on the scene in a 175-pound catchweight encounter. St. Louis hails from Orlando, Florida, and has won his last four fights. St Louis submitted Ray back in 2017, when both fighters’ careers were in their infancy.Middleweights
Impa Kasanganay (18-6, 8-3 UFC) vs. Andrew Sanchez (14-8, 1-1 PFL): Kasanganay was on his way to becoming the face of the PFL before a pair of knockout losses slowed his momentum. Sanchez’s last win came in 2023, but the Tristar Gym product carries power in his fists, and he will be looking to test Kasanganay’s chin.Middleweights
Joshua Silveira (14-5, 7-5 PFL) vs. Murad Ramazanov (12-3, 1-3 PFL): Silveira is one of the PFL’s most well-rounded talents, but he has been on the losing end of some tight decisions of late. Ramazanov started his career 12-0 but has lost three straight bouts. This fight is a crossroads match between two talented grapplers desperate for some momentum.Continue Reading »
